UNIFIL Observation Tower DESTROYED by IDF Bulldozer?

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has accused the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) of violating international law after an IDF bulldozer allegedly destroyed a blue barrel marking the border between Lebanon and Israel in the town of Labbouneh. The incident, which occurred on Saturday morning, also saw the destruction of an observation tower belonging to the Lebanese Armed Forces. The UNIFIL statement called on all parties to avoid actions that could jeopardize the cessation of hostilities, citing the deliberate and direct destruction of UNIFIL property and infrastructure belonging to the Lebanese Armed Forces as a flagrant violation of UN Resolution 1701.
