White House special envoy Amos Hochstein announced that Israeli forces have begun their withdrawal from the border town of Naqoura in southern Lebanon. This comes over a month after the cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah took effect. The Israeli army has started withdrawing from Naqoura and has returned to Israel, south of the Blue Line, with the withdrawal expected to continue until all Israeli forces have left Lebanon. Meanwhile, the Lebanese army will deploy south to the Blue Line, which is the UN-demarcated border between the two countries.
