The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported 338 new Haredi recruits enlisted this week, with 211 male and 127 female combat support personnel joining various units. Among the new recruits, 57 were selected for the “Hahasmonaim” brigade, with 70, 19, 19, and 35 joining the “Netzah Yehuda”, “Tomer”, “Arrow”, and “Negev” companies, respectively. Additionally, the IDF announced that it has completed the process of sending enlistment orders to approximately 7,000 Haredi non-commissioned officers. This marks a significant increase in Haredi representation in the IDF, following efforts to encourage greater integration of ultra-Orthodox Jews into the military.
