Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may face arrest if he travels to countries that are party to the International Criminal Court (ICC) following the issuance of an arrest warrant. The warrant is related to Israel’s military offensive in the Gaza Strip, which has killed tens of thousands of people. Poland’s President Andrzej Duda has written to the government stating that he should guarantee Netanyahu an “undisturbed stay” in the country if he visits. This comes as Netanyahu was not invited to a Holocaust commemoration event at the Auschwitz Museum, which only extended invitations to Holocaust survivors.
